For Series 1, our goal was to create a great dress watch by integrating crucial design elements we know collectors appreciate:
38.5mm case diameter for a refined presence.
A compact lug-to-lug of under 45mm to suit most wrists elegantly.
Less than 8mm in thickness for a sleek, understated profile.
Dual lug holes for seamless compatibility with both curved and straight straps for versatility.
A thoughtfully crafted lug design that merges the classic "cow horn" and "teardrop" forms.
Downward-sloping lugs engineered for ergonomic wear.
For Series 1, we wanted the dial to be a captivating focal point. We've chosen a simple yet elegant guilloché floral pattern that truly comes alive, shifting dynamically under different angles and lighting conditions. It's a subtle dance of light and shadow that keeps the eye engaged.
Series 1 will be available in two sophisticated monochrome dial variants: "Silver" and "Black Rhodium." This deliberate choice serves two key purposes: first, to provide a striking contrast that truly makes the mirror-polished indexes pop; and second, to beautifully showcase the intricate craft of heat-treating watch hands to a specific color.
(left) Mirror polished hour Index reflecting light vs unpolished index (right)
For our first series, a key objective was to highlight the demanding craft of mirror/black polishing. You'll see this commitment reflected in every hour index on the dial. Each one undergoes a meticulous, multi-stage process: laboriously polished with various grits of sandpaper, then refined to perfection with pegwood and successive grades of diamond paste. Once polished, each index is then carefully installed onto the dial, piece by piece.
For Series 1, we've chosen elegant Breguet-style hands. Each hand is first meticulously high-polished before being heat-treated to a vibrant color—straw, purple, or blue—to complement your chosen dial variant (Silver or Black Rhodium).
This heat treatment process requires immense patience and skill to achieve a precise hue. Purple, in particular, is the most challenging color, demanding swift precision as it transitions to blue in a very narrow window. Because of this handmade, manual process, each watch hand in Series 1 will possess its own truly unique, heat-tempered hue, making your timepiece even more special.
Flip over our Series 1 timepiece and you'll discover a captivating open case-back. It beautifully showcases the Swiss Made Sellita SW210 manual-wind movement, meticulously finished to an Élaboré grade. You'll notice the elegant Geneva stripes, delicate circular graining on the main plate, striking blued screws, radiant sunburst ratchet wheels, and Rhodium plating.
Beyond its visual appeal, our choice of the Sellita SW210 was deliberate. It's renowned for its exceptional robustness and superb timekeeping accuracy, all while allowing us to achieve the slim profile essential for an ideal dress watch.
With Series 1, we focused on both form and function. The watch features a fully polished case, a deliberate choice to enhance its dress watch elegance. Beyond its refined appearance, the case is engineered for comfort as well. Its downward-sloping lugs and compatibility with curved straps ensure an ergonomic design that naturally conforms to your wrist, making it a pleasure to wear.
The wearing experience of a dress watch hinges significantly on its strap. That's why, for Series 1, we made no compromises and partnered with Atelier Kai for his amazing straps. Every strap is meticulously hand-stitched and tailored to each customer's specific wrist size. Atelier Kai's exceptional quality and dedication to handmade artistry make them the perfect partner for Series 1, ensuring a comfortable fit for the wrist of our collectors.
